Ridiculously, Tanega had only fleeting success as a rootsy folk-pop artist before penning songs for Dusty Springfield, with whom (gossip alert!) she had a torrid romance. But more recent and overdue attention casts light on this joyful expression of dreamin’ dreams and pretending your cat is a dog. Fans of the brilliantly funny tv edition of What We Do in the Shadows will recognize its infectious theme song.
