Oiva Unikko Mug
Maija Isola's iconic Unikko flower motif is the emblem of the Marimekko design house. It was designed in 1964, just after the founder of the Marimekko brand, Armi Ratia, publicly announced that she was banning floral motifs, which were considered hackneyed. Maija Isola defied her by drawing a series of floral designs whose style was so innovative and fresh that Armi changed her mind. Ironically, the Unikko motif has become the emblem of the brand. Cheerful, chic and graphic, the tableware collection by Marimekko brings your interior to life!
